Having a walk around Dawlish yesterday one item for the comfort of young and old alike, visitor and local is the number of benches that have disappeared over the years. The Lawn - the seating is far less due to the concrete shelters being demolished and the wall being taken down parallel to the highstreet. Under the railway bridge on the front. There is a sheltered area that used to have ...

I believe Dawlish forked out tens of thousands of pounds around the town for the current cctv system, but I believe due to cost restraints! they do not monitor them. They could have them linked to a recording system that could continuosly monitor all camera's. Then if an incident took place the police could access the data from a remote server.

Police, what police. On a rare ocassion you may see a car skoot through or a couple of pcso's having a nice walk. I must be living in a different Dawlish. I think the celebrations are a little early

@roberta - checked out the facebook link, mandy bach posted a comment on the page stating that there is a covenance on the lawn which does not allow any building on the area. does anyone know about this? She also states this is why the bandstand was never redeveloped

The rot set into the NHS decades ago with the ever inflating management with their only goal to save as much money as possible and keep as few beds as possible with patients in them. The reason for this is that they get paid bonuses for spending less. The people who should be working to get more money for the NHS and making sure the staff and patients are supported 100% are the ones destroying ...

@Willkilner - the sea wall is already ruined by ignorant cyclist who ignore the new barriers and signs placed on the sea wall advising these cretins not to cyle along it. the last thing a walker needs is a retard on a push bike trying to get passed on top of a 10 foot plus wall with concrete and rocks below. If i had my way I would have their push bikes confiscated and sold at auction with the ...

A call for no confidence in the government should be made. Obviously all those in denial who never thought Brexit would come to pass are still unable to comprehend what the people have decided on. We need a general election so the people can decide which party should be leading this country through the Brexit process. The conservaties are doing everything in their power to slow/stop this ...

I would be interested to hear the opinions of those that use the lawn balls to the possibilty of the new play area being next to the bowling green.  Anyone who knows a person who partakes in the lawn bowls at Dawlish ask them if they would like to add their comments on this post.

@Morty Vicker - I do apologise for giving my own opinion on this forum. if you could please advise me of the vicker's rules of etiqette for this forum i would be so obliged. Definition of self opinionated!

The title of the post states 'to Dawlish', but has that not already been decided. The article itself is discussing the trail going through Dawlish. I presume that means the discussions will be on how the trail goes through Dawlish on its way to Teignmouth! From my experiences with most, but not all, cyclist's who share the same path as walker's around Dawlish. They are not only inconsiderate ...
