I'm not complaining about them being on the road, that's where they belong, not on a footpath! OR they should be on a cycle path, but all that has happened in Dawlish is that the footpath has been renamed as a cycle/footpath. I do think it is all a bit bizarre.
no @tom , i am pointing out the folly of a combined cycle and footpath with no delineation for either, which is a recipe for disaster!
Brother-in-law down three weeks ago had a close shave with a cyclist speeding along the so called cycle/footpath through Dawlish and then again today on the cycle path/footpath along the main road..............you know, the one not wide enough to have the white line painted down the middle. Today, the cyclist gave no warning of their approach from behind and just whizzed past him, if he had bent ...
Thanks for the links Lynne and it was great to see the article in the gazette. If feels like things haven't moved on that much for women in a hundred years!
Then tell us your secret Leatash!! Everyone I know who phones at 8.30 gets the dr the receptionist assigns them to!!
Well I will be interested to know if the town centre CCTV is switched on as I think it was inactive for a very long time. I hope it was working and captured images of the vermin who attacked the Costcutter manger so they can be caught and dealt with severely. The council need to provide CCTV at CC but I bet they won't!
Yet more flats to be built in an already congested area. Let's hope they are forced to provide parking spaces for every dwelling created.
This could only happen in Dawlish!! Shops closing, buses cut, clapped out trains but................let's spend thousands on ripping up Dawlish so a few cyclists can pass through on their way to............?
Thanks, I will drive down there later today and have a look.
An accident waiting to happen......... .and a compensation claim! Some old biddy steps off the coach and a cyclist takes her out! Who pays the compensation for injury? DCC, TDC or DTC? They are all barking mad!!
