POLICE in Teignmouth and Dawlish have released details of what they described as a ‘busy’ weekend. Friday last week saw officers in Dawlish investigating reports of anti-social behaviour in the town.

A man from Devon who saved hundreds of child sex abuse images to his electronic devices has been jailed. Lee Smith from Dawlish , had more than 400 of the disgusting images and videos on phones, a laptop and cloud storage accounts, including instances of the worst category of child sexual abuse.

Tuesday, 22 October 2024 09:00. South West Water has shared further details on its plans to reduce storm overflows in Dawlish. The project is expected to significantly impact the town centre and surrounding areas for over 18 months.

Educational posters are being put up around Dawlish. A grant to remove chewing gum and prevent it from being dropped has been awarded to a council in Devon. Teignbridge Council has been given £18,297 for the project.

SOUTH West Water has revealed more details about how reductions in storm overflows will be carried out in Dawlish. The company, which is holding a drop-in sessions for residents on Wednesday October 30, has announced plans which are expected to disrupt the town centre and its ourskirts for more than 18 months.

THE FUTURE of a popular gym and fitness centre in Dawlish is uncertain following the bankruptcy of one of its owners. Stephen Chandler was declared bankrupt at the County Court at Torquay and Newton Abbot on October 4.

Teignmouth Mayor Councillor Cate Williams wielded her scissors on Saturday morning (October 19) to cut the ribbon and officially open the town’s newest retailer, Memories of Distinction. Owners, Kevin and Sylvia Jago had previously run the Memories in Dawlish but moved the shop to Teignmouth after their tenancy ended.
