And how many people were "occupying" the tarmacked eyesore in the middle of the lawn?  The proposed pavilion had a footprint no larger than that tarmac. Why do some people still not get it?? "...the other day..." was obviously before Friday last week.

Really can't wait for that stretch to open!  Obviously the seawall from Dawlish to the Warren is at the forefront of most local minds, but at least next weeks reopening represents a further opportunity to enjoy the seawall walk.

Not me doing the dragging up DJ.  :-p

I've only been out of town for a few days! I saw the new signs on the way home earlier this evening and was pleasantly surprised, hence offering praise where praise is due.

I think I'm the first on here to thank those responsible for securing the placing of the new Tourist (Brown) Signs that have recently sprouted at the gateways to the town. An excellent and very timely aid for those that are unfamiliar with what's where. Well done and thank you.

Wow, you're very uptight about this aren't you? I assume that you must be friends with John. I'm not sure whether the others who have pressed Agree on your post are also friends with him, as they clearly haven't got the nouse to post a comment about the subject. My point was that his comparisons, whilst being genuinely fascinating are, more often than not, misplaced. That's all. Goodness ...

Are these so-called "barbed" comments contrary to the T&Cs of this website?  Or are they merely light-hearted opinion designed to maybe start a discussion about the topic?

You surely have to live in the parish of Dawlish to be a DTC councillor? I doubt that the expenses would stretch to return trips for Burnside from the Isle of Dogs...
