Huw, you know you said you've got land that you don't want developed well...........should the authorities ever decide that it is an ideal spot for housing or a SANGs or an electricity station or whatever then 'they' can, and will, invoke a compulsory purchase order.

So.......I thought to myself I'll just log on to see what new planning applications have been submitted to TDC just in case anything of interest is there and low and behold this is what I came across http://docimages.teignbridge.gov.uk/Planning/lg/GFPlanningDocuments.page Seems the toilet block in the outer carpark is going to be altered slightly so that part of it can become a bike hire ...

Yes I agree it is a very long thread. Perhaps someone would like to start another one? (If I do that I can imagine the reaction from certain quarters..........). So......let's divide this up shall we into two aspects. 1. The impact on Richard Weeks' livelihood, the for need local food production, compulsory order etc  - moral issue - lots of people will identify with that. and 2. Totally agree that Plan Teignbridge trumps everything. What is in it- will be. What hope then for the person who finds themselves at the wrong end of all this planning legislation, let's say for example, being on the wrong end of a compulsory purchase order. Nowt I would say.
