Sorry to confuse you Carer, but I agree with you re the bandstand. And if I may be so bold , if you stopped carping about Mrs C, she might stop pulling your plonker and we all might get back to some meaningful exchanges.
Ha ha, the youngish bloke behind the bar at the Ship doesn't welcome anyone if he's in the wrong mood, but the women serving food are nice enough, and the food is good.
Never known so many posters to agree, motion carried....
Didn't know the Ship and MP had the same owner, interesting. Any views on the Anchor? Only been once a long time ago. The menu was so vast that it looked too jack of all trades. Glad to see Jack Sprat's looking busy, hope others rise to the challenge as unfortunately I'm a bit bored of the menu seeing as it's the only one I go in now. Visited Ode recently for the first time, good luck to ...
I stopped going to the Mount Pleasant 15 months ago when I went with some first time visitors to Dawlish. After a walk along the seawall we waited an hour for the food to arrive and when it did, the omelette looked like it had been made from one egg, and the fish, as Burneside said, was still frozen and cloudy in the middle. I feel mean for saying it because they waived the charge for the fish ...

I think Dawlish would be better off with a Dawlish Parkway at the back of the town. Currently there's not enough to draw any meaningful tourism - with a handful of cafes and B&Bs, it's a day out for most. Not everyone wants to plonk themselves down on the sand, and a few benches on the sea wall don't serve them. Put a station at the back of the town and locals are still served, tourists can ...
@leatash . having taken everything in a bit more, i think you're right. stench pipes aside, a green bridge would be in better keeping with the rest of the town than the drab one we've got.
Mrs C, I use the webcam to see where the tide is for walking the dog. No one in this household ever puts the timetable back in the right place.
'fraid someone's interfered with your radar Carer! I had to look back over posts to see why i've rattled your cage and once I'd skimmed through your recent issues with Mrs C and Paul (I hadn't realised quite how hung up on them you are) I can see, months ago, that you didn't like me objecting to racism/bullying/bigotry. Has it been niggling you all this time? instead of writing up your ...
