The queues at Co-op weren't quiet!! How much did their check-out tills cost? You know, the ones that are never used? I popped into town this morning before starting my shift this afternoon and was sad to see that Bitz n Bobs is closing down. No complaints from the proprietor about Sainsbury though - just about the economy in general.
Wind up merchant.
Having seen that the church on the Strand is trying to steal customers from local cafes, why don't they turn the tables and hold a sunday service in their cafes? Just saying.
Advertise this and it will work. Lobby TDC to extend their free parking to year round. Don't just open the once and then not do so again if it doesn't pay off first time - it may take a few weeks for the momentum to build. Be reliably open every Sunday so that customers can be sure you are open. Try themed Sundays. Try a Sunday Loyalty Card. Do something to encourage young families to spend time ...
No Dawlishians in court in the latest reports; however the person from the Midlands who allegedly tried to defraud those elderly persons in Dawlish and Starcross has pleaded 'not guilty'.
PS. Keep banging on about Bourton, and Wondering will want to move there! ;-)
Interesting. I don't know why you have it in for the Luscombe estate, but I think we need to concentrate on the actual town centre and sea front first. And we don't want the NIMBYs complaining about all those tourist coaches driving past their former greenfield homes to get to the estate, do we?!
Well said Willos! Definitely no onslaught from this direction! Positive Mental Attitude! Now we need some Positive Physical Action from the townsfolk.
Is 007 on the wind up?? Yes to Sainsbury, no to Tesco. Although a Tesco Express on the Strand might be an idea!!!
They would be more ballsy if the said what they were going to DO to improve the town!!! People like them are leading us to fall farther and farther behind Teignmouth and Exmouth.
