Six teenagers were rescued after getting into difficulty in the River Exe yesterday (Sunday, June 10). The teenagers had reportedly entered the river in the area of the Mamhead Slipway and attempted to swim across to Dawlish Warren.

A DRIVER was rescued from an overturned car in Dawlish by passers by. The accident happened on Sunday afternoon on the A379 on Teignmouth Hill near Westcliff Drive. Onlookers reported the car had flipped and was on its roof.
