Are we supposed to vote tomorrow? It all seems very quiet.

Scruffy was found abandoned in the Luscombe Hill area of Dawlish. He was dumped from a white panelled van late afternoon on the 12th April. He was in a very poor state with sores on his back and sides, he is healing nicely now with the care of the RSPCA. Anyone with any information please contact the RSPCA.

Had a letter posted through my door to say Dawlish United is about to take over the clubhouse and football ground at Sandy Lane. Their intentions are to keep playing football on the ground for local youths and adults. The club house will be open to the community of Dawlish.

I do not think we need too many of the unhealthy food takaways. Maybe a K.F.C or a McDonalds for the occasional treat but used too frequently only adds to the obesity which we are seeing more of.

Good to see Bits and Bobs under new management and not going to stay empty. Also the shoe shop next to Stokes looking very smart, I see they have a Vacant Position notice in their window if anyone is interested.

Air Ambulance

Air Ambulance landed at Sandy Lane Playing field. Also just spoken to a man who said he has just left his car at Dawlish Warren as the Police has closed the main road out of Dawlish to the Warren and are not letting any traffic through including buses.

The alleged sexual assault happened on Tuesday March 20th between about 1pm and 2pm near the bird sanctuary area of Dawlish Warren beach. Police are keen to speak to or identify four men all dressed in black and may have been in the company of a teenage girl. 1) A white man about 5ft 8ins in height aged about 40 to 50 and had an Irish accent. 2) A white man tall and skinny mid twenties. 3) A ...

An interesting read in today's Dawlish Gazette 'Memory Lane, 25 years ago'. National Car Parks expressed an interest in building a multi-storey car park on the site of the British Rail car park by the railway station. What a shame it never happened.
