How do you come to that conclusion Mrs C, are you privy to representations made to the Council?
This link pertains to 2012. People still congregate outside on the pavement smoking. Very intimdating if you try to walk past. Only a couple of weeks ago there was a serious assault, With pools of blood leading from the pub to costcutters. They should not be serving alcohol to customers who are already drunk. I had a burglar who entered my house we locked him in the study rang the police. He ...
MV - as it happens I am totally open minded about all this. I am merely pointing out what the S106 agreement says.
Monty, the decision by TDC was nothing to do with what was reported by the then Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Dawlish. The facts are contained in this link: http://m.teignbridge.gov.uk/CHttpHandler.ashx?id=37146&p=0
LN, I know what the report says about it being a "quiet zone". 8 years on, I personally believe that we need to look at the success of the Teignmouth model, and create a play park to help continue stopping Dawlish from becoming a dead zone. Sadly the only opinions that are being heard are those of the old aged residents (I don't mean you LN btw!).
The conclusions of the Town Centre Masterplan are clear, Morty - that the whole of The Lawn should be retained. In any case the space in question has considerably livened up over the course of this summer, and especially during our peak season. Firstly as the only available leisure/sport/amenity space during the time the fair was in town and now as a site for the marquee for the carnival. ...
MV - yes I know what the report says about the space between the bandstand and the bowling green. But the report goes further by suggesting that the present bandstand be knocked down and a replacement be sited further up towards the bowling green which would include a cafe. I cannot find anywhere in that report any suggestion of a children's playground being sited on the lawn. What the ...
When I was a councillor I expressed dismay at them getting the late license back as many local residents had spoken to me about the issue. I raised this with the police representative in a council meeting at the time and he promised to investigate. The then Mayor and Deputy Mayor visited the pub and did a report for the council, saying what an important amenity it was for this end of town and it ...
Another thing, the late license was taken off the pub, but for some reason 3 months later they got it back. I know local counsellers are on the licensing committee so why no action from them?
Thank you for this. I everyone rang the police they would have to act. I have m et with the police abot this, and what they need is for more people to complain, otherwise it looks like one person with a vendetta.
