The nomination(s) and election of the Mayor and the Deputy Mayor is scheduled to take place at the Dawlish Town Council meeting on May 3rd. The various committees and representations on external bodies will also be formally proposed (and hopefully agreed) at the same meeting. As there was nothing about this in today's Gazette, and as I have now had this confirmed by the (ex)councillors concerned, I am putting this information into the public domain.
I've had leaflets from everyone now except UKIP who addressed the leaflet to my husband only. Speaks volumes.

This is the info I have just received from TDC Electoral Services re the last date and time for nominations to be lodged with TDC from candidates wishing to stand in this constituency (Newton Abbot). 4.00pm on 11th May (to be confirmed by the electoral commission)

A tourist has admitted taking part in a robbery in which a Dawlish shop manager was allegedly sprayed with a noxious substance.
