I use the re-cycling bins off Exeter road, on the path to Coastguard Cottages, and noticed today that most of the bins on this site have been padlocked, does anyone know why??

You understand my point exactly, nothing has changed, the nonsense about 'greenbelt' land which was always going to be built on anyway has now gone and the planners are now saying lets put all options on the table, you can't have it both ways. This is a 'draft' policy, go to this link where you can download the whole or summary documents and submit your comments and objections, it isn't law it is ...

2p charge for a debit card transaction, please tell me which bank charges that and I am sure they will be swamped with new business customers. All card charges are negotiable to some extent as obviously the bigger the customer the more power they have to get a good deal from the bank. I once spent 25p online and used a credit card, a small merchant could not offer that service. In Dawlish many ...

Nothing has changed, I can show you hectares of land that was marked as 'greenbelt' never to be built on, now covered with wall to wall housing and shops. Well said dawlishbornanddead, The NIMBYs are alive and well in Dawlish. Since I moved to Dawlish I have heard 'regeneration, regeneration, ad nauseum. Regenerate WHAT, I have filled in the same questionnaires year after year, seen thousands spent on 'surveys' to achieve precisely NOTHING. My neighbours have lived here for 2 years and have kids at school here, they are leaving next month after 2 ...

Wordonthestreet is quite right about Walmart, they are opposed by Unions all over the world due to their treatment of staff and the way they treat suppliers. Yet they have become the worlds biggest retailer. Let's be honest, the majority of people shop where it is most convenient to do so.
