The turn out at voting time says it all about how the people of Dawlish feel about politics I believe the last vote won by councillor Clatworthy turned out to be from only 39% of the population. I dont see how anybody could even count that as a victory really

Its a great place to live and is even better for retirement providing your quite fit and healthy. Down sides would be infrastructure or seeming lack of it transport can be a bit hit and miss at times as there's only one road in and out. Buses are regular at 30 min intervals. Getting a doctors appointment can be a joke and is only going to get worse as we have become the dumping ground for ...

@Orla , if you use facebook sign up to some of the dawlish sites on there like eyes of dawlish which shares a lot of information on what's happening in the area - the plus side of social media! there's oodles to do if you want to get involved. there's a fair mix of locals and people who've moved here from elsewhere (hate the terms outsiders and incomers) and i'm not aware of any problems. ...

Orla, living down here, if you are use to city living is a bit like going back in time a few decades. If you pick the right part of Dawlish you can wake up in the morning to the sounds of sheep, lambs, cows, calfs, crows and other birds and a lack of vehicle/neighbour's noise. I have been here nearly a decade and a half and don't regret moving form london, but do your homework on where you ...

@SickOfIt on second thoughts you have a point; it's just a coincidence - @Lynne is much more savvy than you are and i don't think she's naive when it comes to her points of view. And she has a genuine interest in politics and the local community. And whatever makes you think I'd want to go on a date with you??? Hilarious! What have you been smoking? haha.

@SickOfIt the comment was ironic given you preach politeness, i feel that's kind of obvious. It is obvious you mean that you don't like being questioned by strangers. As you'd like to be left alone. Which is even more ironic.

The negotiations haven't even started yet and nobody knows what the outcome will be in two years time.  It sounds to me like this guy is just another Remoaner who has already made up his mind.  There's no point listening to his kind.
