I thought somebody said all the money had run out and nothing more was going to be done.
Moan, whinge, moan, whinge, moan, whinge. Why am I not surprised?
@Brazilnut As I have no connection with the Council I've no idea why you should think I know more than you concerning the redevelopment of The Strand.
Some neat editing there of Brazilnut's post. The original stated that although she was against selling council houses she still made enquiries about buying hers. She can't have it both ways, even though her enquiries came to nought, the intention was still there. A tad hypocritical if you ask me.
It's quite obvious Network Rail has just waited for the box to start falling down of its own accord, and will now get permission to finish off the job it wanted to do in 2004.
There are no laws in the UK regarding "jay walking", because there is no such offence in this country.
I'm not sure having a booze licence will make much difference, people who want to enjoy a drink on the beach already take their own. I would be interested to learn exactly what kind of live events they intend to stage, just how much space at the cove does the hut leaseholder get for their money? It is, after all, a refreshments hut - not an entertainment venue. Anything that disturbs the peace ...
On top of what?
As if we didn't already know???!!!!!!!!!!!! (the exclamations are for your benefit Brazilnut as you are so fond of using them) edit - I see the original post has now been changed.
What debacle?
