So after you have rather arrogantly poked your nose into somebody else's financial affairs, and deemed their wealth is immoral, what then?  Take it away from them?  Have you thought this through?  I'd love to know.

@Lynne If a person's wealth has been obtained by legal means, and taxes duly paid, then I really don't see what business it is of yours. @Brazilnut Where have I posted comments complaining about my taxes keeping people on benefits and that they should be penalised?  Yet again you are spouting rubbish.

I don't see anything wrong in people trying to save paying tax by legal means, why shouldn't they when such schemes exist?  I do it myself by investing savings in an ISA.  You seem to have a real problem with people having a bit of money to their name, it must be your Socialist leanings.

Our forefathers didn't know the luxury of the welfare state, it certainly didn't exist when my parents were born, what rubbish you talk at times.  Your language is like something out of a 1960s Labour Party conference, those times have gone, get used to it.

When I looked into signing up to one of these price-freeze deals some time ago I noticed the tariff was higher than the normal price, so a future price increase was being built in upfront.  These power companies are not stupid.

I doubt the Red Flag brigade will see power in this country any time soon, the electorate have more sense.

Governments have to shoulder a lot of the blame too, spending money (they haven't got) like it's going out of fashion, and then we all have to pick up the pieces living with austerity budgets across the board for all public services.

Would it not benefit the country and communties more by re-opening some of the lines which were closed by Beeching in the 60s, rather than by spending £40bn+ on an exclusive line that will charge sky-high premium fares (as HS1 does), which only the better off will be able to afford?

America is most certainly a bully, it thinks it has the right to police the world when it does not, and then expects us to blindly join in when it goes to war.  I can't be more pleased that we have stuck two fingers up to the US, it was well overdue and should have been done a long time ago.  The so-called special relationship is laughable, it's all a one-way street, and just a ploy to take ...
