A HAIR-CUTTING service for the homeless has been launched in Dawlish. Hair In The Community provides hair cuts to those living on the streets and the vulnerable. Started in Exeter in 2009, it has expanded its services to run monthly sessions at the Strand Centre in Dawlish. Railway services between Exeter’s St David’s and Plymouth currently cancelled owing to an incident on the line near Starcross. Services expected to resume 6pm (Sat 18/1/25).

A DAWLISH hair salon owner has raised more than £1,000 for an animal rehoming charity. Chrissy Marks of Signature Hair and Beauty raised £1,281 for Saving Pound Dogs Cyprus (SPDC). Resilience work on the cliffs between Dawlish and Holcombe to help protect the vital South West main line rail link has now been successfully completed.
