The position was won by the Liberal Democrats in 2019 and 2023 but the Councillor quit the party, became an Independent and then left the Council entirely triggering a by-election. I would argue that @Alipop is a classist, snob which is pretty typical of Liberal Democrat and Conservative voters and also some older Reform voters who'd normally vote Conservative.
