A Teignbridge school is to make students lock up their phones in a special pouch in a bid to enforce its no mobiles policy. From June 3, all students at Dawlish College will be required to secure their phones in a lockable ‘Yondr‘ pouch when they arrive at school.

SATURDAY May 11 saw a bright start to the Marina Bowling Club's annual taster day where anyone can come along to try bowls out. 24 people came to the club in Dawlish and 12 signed up for future coaching of four sessions- not to mention there were a couple of juniors amongst them including a four-year-old who thoroughly enjoyed herself.

A 'cherished' mother was mutilated and killed by her own son, who has admitted he filmed the horrific ordeal and been given an indefinite hospital order. Bradley Huggins pleaded guilty to manslaughter of 53-year-old Hazel Huggins, from Dawlish, by diminished responsibility.

A VEHICLE was severely damaged after a fire in the Springfield Gardens area of Dawlish. Having received reports of the fire, one appliance from Teignmouth was mobilised to the incident, which occurred on Friday, May 10.

We are aware there is an increase of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) on Friday and Saturday evenings. Over the last couple of weeks we have increased police presence within the town of Teignmouth, to help reduce the amount of ASB.
