AS is often the case, Teignbridge Trotters were well-represented at the Dawlish Coasters “O My Obelisk” event, a race which took place on Sunday, January 12 and is the latest round of the club championship.

DAWLISH Carnival is all systems go for this summer organisers have announced, despite major work by South West Water. Organisers have confirmed this summer’s carnival will be taking place from Saturday August 9 to Friday August 15.
A DETERMINED duo represented Fit2Run on Sunday, January 12 at the Dawlish Coaster’s ‘Oh My Obelisk’. This is an event that is ran every year and it consists of a multi-terrain nine or 13-mile route up to the Obelisk at Mamhead from Dawlish Leisure Centre and back down again.
A PRE-SCHOOL in Dawlish has closed following concerns for the safety of children. Little Swans was shut down just before Christmas after complaints were made to regulator Ofsted that the pre-school was ‘not meeting the requirements relating to safeguarding policies and procedures’.
It's a glorious day in Dawlish Warren. The sun is hanging low in a cloudless sky, casting long shadows over the empty amusement park. Shutters are down, gates are locked, the temperature is close to freezing, the shops are shut and, best of all, there are no tourists.
Need a cull of seagulls but the do gooders would be up in arms, should be named landgulls as majority of time surviving on fish suppers / bin contents and duck food. Not the first time gulls have killed potential adult swans by killing young cygnets a few years ago.

THE latest Black Swan egg to be laid in Dawlish has been attacked by seagulls. The solitary egg had been laid by female Kimba, earlier this week. Dawlish’s waterfowl wardens announced the news today.
