Attempted murder arrest after man is slashed with broken bottle A 19-year-old man from Hereford was arrested for attempted murder and a 24-year-old man from Dawlish was arrested for assault. The 33-year-old man was injured with a sharp object after approaching a group of 15 teenagers gathered on The Green, The Strand, Dawlish at around 10pm on Saturday night. A person has died after being hit by a train between Dawlish and Dawlish Warren. All lines between between Plymouth and Exeter St David's Station are blocked, and trains are expected to be cancelled, delayed or revised as a result of the incident. Plans to demolish an historic beach kiosk on Dawlish seafront have been approved. Jamie Stuart Rabin, 36, of Bank Street, Teignmouth, was ordered to pay a total of £6,594.25 in fines, costs, victim's surcharge and compensation at Plymouth Magistrates Court.
