Plans have been announced to move the rail line at Dawlish out into the sea as part of plans to tackle major issues the Plymouth to Exeter line has suffered in the past. Contaminated material was been found at the Dawlish Countryside Park – delaying long-overdue work needed to repair the surface of the car park. The latest section of a cycle route that eventually aims to link Exmouth with Newton Abbot has opened.
