A POPULAR night club for the over 60s in Dawlish is proving a hit with dancers and charities. Launched in April, the monthly club gives the older population a chance to strut their stuff on the dance floor at the Strand Centre.

A GROUP of teenagers are suspected to be behind a series of vandal incidents who are ‘terrorising’ Dawlish residents. Victims of the activities say there is a ‘gang of hooligans causing mayhem,’ mainly around the town centre area.

OPEN air theatre came to Dawlish with a production of Shakespeare’s As You Like It. The Sun And Moon theatre company staged the play on The Lawn as part of the Dawlish Town Council organised programme of summer events.

A MAN who stabbed his brother at the family home in Newton Abbot has been sent for treatment at a psychiatric unit in Dawlish. Shane Poblocki was suffering from a severe bout of mental illness when he attacked his brother Dean on September 19, 2022.

DAWLISH can now boast its own ‘islands in the stream’ after the watercourse through the town has developed areas of beach. The Brook is a major draw for tourists and the home of the town’s iconic Black Swans and other waterfowl.
