It's called coastal erosion. It's stupid place to build a rail line. Still we've got a century and a half out of it. Scrap 'resilience' move the line inland. The local MP needs to be seen to be doing something to justify his massive salary, so he states the effing obvious. Good job Wriggler.

People are dumbed down so much that they don't have any common sense any more. This is exemplified by Dawlish voting for people like Dawson and Wrigley. @1263 It's already happening. Councils encouraging and facilitating volunteering is just an extension of Cameron's Big Society and what Wrigley as Leader of TDC called 'Community Powered Councils'. It sounds more inclusive, it aims to make people think they have greater say in democracy, but it's just about ceding any responsibility and accountability because they haven't really got a clue. ...
