A LATE night car fire on a South Devon caravan park is thought to be arson. Firefighters were called to Ladys Mile Caravan Park in Dawlish just after 3am on Sunday. Organised by the Dawlish branch of the Royal British Legion, the day long musical extravaganza attracted the crowds who enjoyed the live music as well as bouncy castle, bar and refreshment stalls, barbecue and children’s rides. One fire appliance from Dawlish attended a car on fire, which was well alight on arrival. Crews used two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to put the fire out. Crews also used a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots. The cause of the fire was accidental.
