Dawlish Town Council agreed at a special meeting of its Finance Committee to fund further works up to a maximum of £19,200.

These will include improvements to the other weirs on the Brook not included in the Teignbridge plan.

It will also ensure that improvements are made to the nesting islands and egress slopes for the iconic Black Swans.
