THIEVES cut padlocks and threw security bars into the sea while breaking into a row of beach huts in Dawlish. Five of the beach huts were privately owned but two belonged to Teignbridge District Council. A letter from Network Rail today say that due to an incoming weather event expected midday Friday, 13th February that they urgently need to concrete the next bay of installed precast concrete units to avoid any damage caused by wave action. They propose to commence pumping mass concrete behind the installed wall units at 01.00 am Friday 13th February.

A MOTORCYCLIST from Dawlish is in critical condition in hospital this morning after a crash near Powderham Castle in Kenton.
