An angry tenant who protested against noisy children by starting a fire in a communal stairway has been jailed for three-and-a-half years. TEIGNMOUTH martial arts instructor Paul Drury has appeared in court charged with four counts of rape, including three rapes of girls under the age of 16. Three of the charges relate to rape of a girl aged under 16 and the fourth rape charge relates to a woman aged 16 or over. Read more... ...
Paul Drury, 56 who runs Paul Drury's Black Belt Academy in Dawlish, is accused of offences under the Protection of Children Act 1978. Recently a local businessmen from Dawlish was contacted via telephone from a male claiming to be a High Court Sherriff who was waiting to go into court for an unpaid bill of £3k for advertising. The company was reported to be owed money for advertising his business over the internet.
Fire engines from Dawlish and Teignmouth, along with a specialist rescue crew from Clyst St George, were sent to a report of a woman unable to get out of muddy Radford Ford in Ashcombe Road at 10.53am. A SCHIZOPHRENIC man has been ordered to receive psychiatric treatment in hospital after he shook a one-month old baby so hard the child suffered head injuries. Philip Lindon and Cheryl Mee had been stopped for speeding on the A380 at Mamhead, near Dawlish when the drugs were found. Lindon had arranged the shipment to pay off debts.
