Anyway,I've forgotten the answer to the original question.I'm not Dawlish born and bred. So there's a poser for anyone tuning in.Where did those chalets go? I think they were abandoned after the war.I'm sure a book by local author ...

To Patty, Dot & Lynne. Actually, why is there this sudden interest in the sea defences at Dawlish Warren?? Are you all working on the same local project?? The next thing you will be asking is why did all the timber chalets disappear from the Warren spit.
