Good to see Bits and Bobs under new management and not going to stay empty. Also the shoe shop next to Stokes looking very smart, I see they have a Vacant Position notice in their window if anyone is interested.
Air Ambulance landed at Sandy Lane Playing field. Also just spoken to a man who said he has just left his car at Dawlish Warren as the Police has closed the main road out of Dawlish to the Warren and are not letting any traffic through including buses.
It never happened because?
An interesting read in today's Dawlish Gazette 'Memory Lane, 25 years ago'. National Car Parks expressed an interest in building a multi-storey car park on the site of the British Rail car park by the railway station. What a shame it never happened.
I too did the same walk thismorning it was lovely to see so many families enjoying the spring like weather.
The Rural Skip will be at the Sandy Lane Car Park on Saturday 18th June from 10am-4pm. I was speaking to an elderly lady outside the United Reformed Church yesterday and she told me she visited the church regulary for their bacon roll and coffee on a monday. She told me she has made friends and enjoys the atmosphere and being a pensioner she could not afford the cafe' prices. Maybe the cafe's could do an offer as many other towns do.
Where is Brunswick Terrace? I have lived in Dawlish most of my life and have never heard of Brunswick Terrace.
I agree with Nelson, these yobs should be made to do' unpaid work' as a punishment but be made to wear some sort of visibly clothing to shame them.
A number of cars along the Exeter Road were vandalized overnight. Police have arrested someone.
