Tony Watson is the Economy and Regeneration Maager at TDC, he's the man.   It took them five months to reinstate the beach huts but it's taking them two years to figure out how to sort this one building?  Last year it was because they want it to done properly, are they looking to build the Pompidou Centre or something?  How about the Town Council putting a rocket up him.

I wonder how much TDC paid the contractors to replace all the beach huts.  They had them back time and time again on the 'snags'.  Look closely at the paint job (especially the yellow ones) and you'll get an idea.   After all that they're now spoiling the ship for a ha'porth of tar.     (That's an idiom in case some of you don't know it).

I agree Carer.  If I owned the cab company I wouldn't want them damaging my business reputation, passengers or no.  My view is that you should uphold standards in whatever capacity you act.  Maybe Elvis can tell us whether carrying passengers does make a difference. So were these misdemeanours occurring while they had passengers on board then?

Anything that improves access is a good thing but it will only revitalise the town if, once people get here, there's a reason to stay and spend money. Businesses can help themselves by making them better places to linger longer. @leatash - do the car parks get so full in the summer that more is needed?

Red Arrows should be woven in somewhere.

Great, that will bring more visitors into Dawlish and the Warren, they could even take a breather and a picnic lunch at the nature reserve.  Oh wait a minute...
