I think the numbers voting for this by election are going to be very low. I've spoken to quite a few people, particularly the older generation and they generally don't know there is going to be an election or if they do when it is or if they are eligible to vote. I think its a real crime that voting cards haven't been sent out - it shouldn't be possible in my opinion. From other information ...
I received the following reply - The decision not to send poll cards has been taken by the Town Council. However, you will receive a postal vote as normal .
Lynne - will do.
@Lynne - do you know what is happening to postal voters, will a card get sent through to them, or are no cards being sent out at all?
Lynne I don't usually write back even when I really disagree with what someone says but I just felt those comments were just not acceptable and in fact perpetuate a myth about the self employed - its just the same as saying teachers knock off at 3.15 and have long holidays doing nothing. Its not a matter of having a go at each other, its a matter of having an opinion and trying to right ...
What a nasty piece of work you are J Warrener. 1. How you do know what job I do? How do you know if its public / private sector or self employed? My husband is self employed, not me - you have no idea what I do. I do apologise though for having an opinion, god whatever next, votes for women? 2. Car, business trips, cash in hand jobs - you really have no idea, too much Sun reading yourself ...
I find J Warrener's comments quite offensive and if that's the sort of drivel he spouts no wonder there is little support for striking. "Why would anyone self employed strike,or a small business owner strike, every penny they earn they keep, they can take a day off whenever they want, when they make money they can pay themselves as much as they want. Workers dont have that luxury, if the company ...
This is quite an interesting site and might be worth a call? http://www.devonbirdcontrol.co.uk/
That's a shame. It seemed like a good idea. They could really make something of the playing fields. A few picnic benches on the now defunct golf greens. The cricket pavillion has chunks of render falling off it and the building seems to be wasted. I know a lot of people have it in for us dog walkers but the majority of the ones I know who walk their dogs there are responsible and its a great ...
I thought at one time individuals or a group (I can't remember who) were looking into getting the playing fields classified as a village green. I wonder whatever happened to that More info - http://archive.defra.gov.uk/rural/protected/commonland/tvg.htm
