There is a lot of activity at the viaduct by the police and coastguard right now.
Hi there. For travel to Exeter and back, the best bet is the train, and despite the troubles, they generally do run on time. Having lived here for 30 years, yes, there has been a decline but there are still things to do as you have mentioned. Some people just look at doom and gloom. All the best in what you do.
20years ago you could get to Exeter easily in 30mins, now you are lucky if you can do the same journey within an hour. I have lived in this area all my life and the road from Dawlish to Exeter has not changed apart from the Exminster by-pass. In the last 30years or more they must have built thousands of new homes, starting in Dawllish on to Starcross then Kenton and Exminister without giving the ...
Oh really that's interesting. What is traveling in and out to exeter like for work? Is it crazy busy in the summer trying to get back at 5pm?
I have spoken to the workman - no Costa no Star Wars themed restaurant when they have finished the work they are doing for the Landlord the TO LET sign will go back up.
Anne Marie Morris: I am delighted to be the last Back Bencher standing to conclude the debate before the Front Benchers have their say. I thought the referendum result was a great tribute to the British people. It was a vote for opportunity, it was a vote of aspiration, and it was a vote for freedom. Many in this Chamber would absolutely support that. My real frustration is that this ...
No life for your boys in Dawlish..it just looks attractive in high summer. Teignmouth is better, then Newton Abbot for Torbay but as D says lots to do in Exeter for all...then you can travel for days out to Dawlish. best way, if you rerally like it. Have to say.. Dawlish people seem pretty negative and still the 'outsider' issue, ..I lived there for 7 years... that was enough!
Yes, I think so!
Honestly I would give Dawlish a miss. In the 15 years I have been here it has just been a steady decline downwards. Exeter is the closest place for decent shopping and jobs and there is next to nothing for kids to do around the town. I would suggest a better move would be to the outskirts of Newton Abott or better still Exeter. Public transport is really bad and the only way to get around is by ...
It would be better if they actually enforced the PSPO's they currently have, before they expand them. The Dawlish PSPO is a joke. There is blatent abuse off the PSPO and very rarely does anything get enforced.
