Exactly, I hope they don't use local funds to attempt to stop the wall, if they are truly acting in the interests of the town then spend the money and efforts in clearing the seawall, THAT is what is going to stop visitors to Dawlish. There was a lady Called Sandy who was looking for a photo of High House. I have on as I was a resident there.
The other point is what will it cost i presume they will require a legal team to fight the application so it will be us joe public who will pay huge amounts of money to satisfy there ego's

Just goes to show what a joke our elected councillors are. They will soon be complaining when the wall is damaged again and the trains have to stop running. As @leatash has said, will they be happy to pay for any future damage?

Well there's a surprise, why do they seem to think they know better than anyone else, good job they are not in government would not be worth giving us a vote for anything as they would still do what they wanted!
