I'm just going to break my Dawlish.com Diet (only posting on Wednesdays) this once, by saying that it's a shame that Doc has been bullied off this site as he/her made some very valid (albeit too long-winded for me) points.
Oh to be sure, the consequences of banning legal immigration are frightening. The economic data is there for you to see. For example the negative impact on NHS services. The negative impact on food prices. The negative impact on GDP. The negative impact on the 200,000 Britons who wish to emigrate every year. The list goes on. However. How many of the Bankers that caused the recession were ...
Of course, the economic data demonstrates that the above anti-foreigner rhetoric isn't matched by the reality of the degree of negative impact that a block on legal immigration into the UK would have. We don't need to get too het up about it though, as it's never going to happen in our lifetimes. Thankfully.

Well, those polls are clearly biased! It's not the number of candidates we have, it's the number of winning candidates that we have. If us Liberal Democrats don't win all 14 of those seats, then my name's Gary Taylor! Yours, etc.
