Over the past few weeks Dawlish Town Council has been considering whether it is possible to hold the normal Christmas Lights Switch On Fun Evening and Festive Fun/Christmas Market Weekend this year. WTF is there such a demand for tens of thousands of new homes to be built in Teignbridge? Where on earth do all these buyers come from to settle in an area of low employment opportunities and low average pay. Were little additional infrastructure is built alongside these large developments of new houses? With the way things are going with our incompetent government there will be many people ...

At the last Dawlish Town Council meeting, held earlier this month, Cllr Gary Taylor (who is also a Teignbridge District Councillor and the portfolio holder for planning) said that he would be updating the town councillors at the next full council meeting (being held in October) about the proposed changes by central government to the English planning system.
