@flo , i think you're right, but there does seem to be a general licence, try this : http://www.naturalengland.org.uk/Images/wml-gl05_tcm6-24150.pdf . Quote - "the owner or occupier, or any person authorised by the owner or occupier, of the land on which the action authorised is taken" may "take, damage or destroy the nests or take or destroy the eggs of the species: Gull, ...
No it isn't, but only on your own land.
OK, I misunderstood the reference.
Normally that would be right @User4549. But in this wonderful quangocracy of ours, the Information Commissioner can fine "data controllers" such as DCC without it going anyway near a court of law, to be proven guilty or not. (They can appeal but that's not to a law court either).
Pity they seem to think Dawlish is in Torbay.
Back to the original question - there has been at least one around Topsham for a few years now. I think there was even a breeding pair one year. Probably nothing to do with Dawlish: feral ("escaped") Black Swans are on the increase all over England.
Well, neither of them were open yesterday afternoon around 2 o'clock.
Why is that, slap bang in the middle of the holiday season, the only gents' public toilets open are at Boat Cove and Sandy Lane ? Is this because of carefully-targeted vandalism or just bad planning ? Anybody know ?
