It look's like the christmas market will take place in the strand on the 9th of december. Let's hope santa will have a helper to cover his lunch hour to save many children and their parents from the stressfull wait in which many choose not to.
Just came back from taken my dog to the beach, a beautiful day and a lovely walk spoilt only by the amount of dog mess [at lease 6 lots] on the sea wall between the rockstone and the first set of steps leading to the beach. PLEASE you irresponsible dog owners clean up after your canine and stop giving all dog owners a bad name.
Well done to those who rescued the rare black swan and brought it back to be with it's loving mate. It seems the swan was chased away by a bully male who took a fancy to his mate!
What a lovley day. Just been to the beach with the dogs, now the restrictions are lifted for a few months the dogs are free to enjoy the beach again.
No one wants to spoil our lovely town but we have to speculate to accumulate before it becomes totally antiquated.
I read with interest a letter in this weeks Dawlish Gazette from Stuart Carson. I agree with him Dawlish is stuck in the 1950's. I have lived here for about 50 years and agree we must move on. We still need to keep our beautiful and famous black swans and ducks, but it seems even they are choosing to move on. Can't get the staff these days
Dogs are allowed off their leads from the Dawlish viaduct to within 150 yards approaching red rock. You will only see this sign if you are entering Dawlish from Dawlish warren
Just received a phone call from Teignbridge. Apparently the toilets at sandy lane are closed for safety reasons,something to do with a faulty top grid on the door. He said hopefully it will be repaired sometime today
The toilets at sandy lane coach & car park have been closed since thursday 26th july. I phoned teignbridge council on friday for an explanation as visitors to the car park asked me where the nearest toilets were?
