@Beezlebub2000-Flitflot - yes, and i wonder who is paying for that, retorical! a prime example of why this country is in such a dire pile of rear end waste. while those in charge of governing it pay their family members up to £50 k a pop to sharpen their pencils, so to speak. even the scots have had enough of us and that's really scraping the bottom of the sporon.
The Scots were happy to take our money in 1707 to get them out of the financial difficulty they put themselves in. I wouldn't wonder that they will be knocking at our door again in the near future for more handouts. Everyone and their dog seems to these days.
What does this gate prohibit travellers from doing? It certainly does not prohibit then from parking on the football pitches nor from gaining access to the car park. To access the pitches all they have to do is drive on to the fields from the road and to get in the car park they just have to drive through the main gate like everyone else. MC I think you may be under estimating the intellect of ...
I wouldn't be surprised if it was a first step in a possible development on the lower fields of some sort, say houses. The contractors can all park in the car park and wonder on to site. The gates also wide enough for site vehicles to go through. Who knows what developemnts will come next and where. Thank for the pic.
@Dorian - my question was obviously not directed to you. may be you would like to explain instead. i thought that as jc is always quick to shoot down others that make bigoted comments. she would have no problem in replying to my request.
@Judith Chalmers - " What rude little man you are. I assume that you're a man. " Would you mind explaining your comments to the rest of us? That being you assume that User 4549 is a man. I await your reply.
"Meep meep" I thought that was a copyright of the Roadrunner!
If u had ever lived in London you would realise that the bus system is okay if u like waiting hours for a bus! I lived in London for over 20 years. If I had a choice between living in London and having these extras or living in Dawlish ,Dawlish would win every time.
If you want to regenerate the appeal of Dawlish to create increased volume of visitors throughout the year and for the money to be spent here. Then you need an attraction that is of practical use. It has already been shown that a World Class bmx/skate park, with indoor and outdoor facilities, would work . A park that would comply with full official competitions. Sandy Lane is the prime place ...
Sold off to a developer as a building plot is more realistic. How many times council's sell off/contract out assets/services to shed their responsibility/cost? Time will tell.
