The British Legion was founded on 15th May 1921. The basic purpose was to care for those who had suffered as a result of service in the Armed Forces during the Great War. The Legion was to be a voice for those men and others that came after them. Although the needs of the ex-serviceman has changed over the years the Legion remains in place to safeguard their welfare, interest and memory.
