R C H Convalescent Centre are holding a Open Day on Saturday July 10th 10am-2pm. Free entry, everyone welcome. Tea,coffee and cakes available. Also stalls, all monies raised on the day will go to relevant charities. There will be plants for sale, books/bric-a-brac, kids corner, music, duck race and a licensed bar.

This ensemble consist of around twenty instrumentalists, who are drawn from all over Devon. The group was founded some years ago in Newton Abbot for the purpose of studying and performing Baroque and Early Classical music. Dawlish Painters have a group of approximately twenty-eight members. Their paintings and drawings, including landscapes, seascapes, portraits, etc, will be on view and for sale. On Sunday the exhibition will be open from 11.00am to 5.00pm. Subsequently it will be open each day from 10.am to 5.00pm until Saturday, when it will close at 3.30pm. Admission free.
Michael Jecks is a successful writer of medieval murder mysteries. Many of these feature west country locations and characters. His books are widely read and have been translated into several European languages. This evening he will talk about his life and work. Tickets: £8 (under 18's £2)
