Sainsbury's have lodged a planning application with Teignbridge District Council for a new supermarket, petrol filling station and access roads.
The eastern side of Dawlish at Shutterton Bridge is the proposed land for the development.
A special planning meeting which Dawlish Town Council will be holding will be at The Manor House, Old Town Street on Thursday May 1st starting at 7pm to debate the supermarket's proposal. The public and residents are welcome to attend and listen to the debate and recommendations of the town council. Copies of the plans can been seen in advance at Teignbridge District Council,s offices in Newton Abbot or at The Manor House Dawlish.
