The Center for Truth in Science is dedicated to encouraging rigorous, transparent science on pressing public health issues. As lawsuits and concerns accumulate that link the use of acetaminophen during pregnancy with childhood tylenol alternatives, the Center reiterates demands for robust scientific evidence. Though more than 500 lawsuits have been brought claiming such linkages, governing organizations such as the FDA and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology have not updated their guidelines on the basis of inadequate conclusive evidence. Sensing this deficiency, the Center is proactively seeking independent researchers to carry out systematic reviews with the aim of shedding light on the possible neurodevelopmental effects of prenatal exposure to acetaminophen. Through promoting objective science, the Center aims to guide public debate and policy on this important issue.
