Frontal ponytail installations typically take between 2 and 4 hours, depending on various factors, including the stylist's skill, the natural hair's current condition, and the chosen installation method. The frontal ponytail is when a lace frontal is sewn into the front of the head and blended with bundles of your hair in a sleek ponytail. With all this fuss, because it combines lace frontal application with ponytail styling, it turns out to be a more lengthy process than simply throwing together a ponytail or any other standard sew-in.

Typically, the prior step would be preparing the natural hair, which includes washing, conditioning, blow-drying, and braiding it down. If glue is used in the installation, a protective cap or glue barrier may be employed. Then, the actual placement of the frontal will be put in place with the natural hairline for the natural effect of a lace frontal. It can be time-consuming and delicate, especially if there is a need for plucking, bleaching knots, or tinting the lace to your skin tone.

After securing the frontal, ponytail ties are done with bundles or a pre-prepared ponytail extension. This ponytail can be transformed into styling high, medium, or low as per your preference and attached by means of straightening or curling, plus sculpting baby hairs to top it off and add shine.

An expert stylist may do it quickly if you bring in clean and prepped hair. It, however, should not be rushed generally, as that can easily compromise the look and longevity of the issue. A typical appointment will last approximately 3-4 hours.

Frontal ponytails are susceptible to sweat and moisture. Tie your hair at night in a silk or satin wrap to extend the life of the frontal ponytail. This glamorous look will last for approximately two weeks with proper care.
