Beyond Dawlish

While flying from Houston to Vegas, my bag literally got jammed between the jet bridge and the plane door. A gate agent had to help unstick it while a whole line of people waited. I told United and Flightd. Pro afterward, but now I’m wondering — is this just bad luck or a common thing? Any advice on handling tight boarding spaces?
