Many travelers prefer TSA PreCheck to bypass long security lines, but using it correctly requires some practice. TSA PreCheck allows qualified passengers to get fast security screening, keeping shoes, belts, and jackets on while passing through selected lanes. If you are traveling with Southwest, you must provide your Known Traveler Number (KTN) during the booking. It ensures that the Southwest PreCheck designation appears on your boarding pass, allowing you to access the fast security check. Yet, if the PreCheck indicator doesn’t show up, check that your KTN is correctly linked to your Rapid Rewards profile and that your name matches exactly as it appears in TSA records.
