I work for Global Action Plan and I am running an environmental project in Dawlish for Dawlish residents. The project is called 'Small Change' and anyone can join. A free home energy visit is available for people who join and free products including a water butt, composter and low energy lightbulbs. Evening and afteroon workshops are run every three weeks for two hours in Dawlish, and altogether there are 4 workshops (an introductory session, 3 topic sessions on waste and shopping, energy and water and healthy living - (local food providers and growing your own fruit/veg). We also have a celebration event where all groups meet up and look at what they have achieved. The aim of the project is to encourage people to make small changes, i.e. changing light bulbs for energy saving light bulbs, and to benefit financially through lowering household bills and to impact on the environment. Free childcare is available for afternoon workshops. For further information please contact Zoe on 01626 215764/zoe.reed@globalactionplan.org.uk.
