Work will start with five nights of night-time work from 7pm until 11:59pm on the evenings of Monday 19 June until Friday 23 June, when the A379 will be closed from the Atmospheric Railway public house to the junction with New Road. The road will be open during the daytime and at the weekend.

A379 resurfacing works mean huge disruption and loss of bus service

It will result in Stagecoach bus services not being able to serve Starcross and Kenton when the main road closes this week, according to local councillor Alan Connett. The first phase will take place today between June 19 and July 7.
