The surface is sanded, a traditional and classic treatment in spirit: even, smooth and elegant. The polished surface shows the natural hardness of the wood. For manufacturing reasons, some products are only available in sanded form. A matte surface is sophisticated and elegant. Sanded surfaces treated with hard wax/natural oils are more prone to scratches. Therefore, we do not recommend using it for spaces with a lot of clothing (family with children, pets, walking in shoes).
The brushed finish lifts the grain of the wood to the surface, making the surface texture visible. A brushed surface is pleasant to walk barefoot and is recommended for families with pets and children, as scratches are not as visible as on a rough and smooth facing surface. When brushing the floor, we do not use a steel brush that leaves deep and sharp streaks, but a special softer nylon brush. The subsequent wear resistance is also better. Floor polishing is not available for all products.
