Without hydro electric instant power the grid would be hard pressed to fulfill spike demands during certain national instances such as when people at home take the break for televised events and switch on a kettle. Yes a kettle. Not a electric car for 8 hours overnight on a trickle charge because they cannot afford a tesla home battery and supercharge facility. Even then the tesla home battery pack vampires off the grid.
