Dawlish’s new farm shop is still on course to open – but it’ll be slightly later than originally planned.
Earlier this month Dawlish Nub News reported that Darren Lakin had taken over the old Ladbrokes premises on the Strand, to open a new branch of the Teignmouth Farm Shop which he and his brother Scott started about two years ago.

At the time he was hoping to open around May 1.
But anyone who’s walked past the building in the last couple of weeks will have seen a lot of building work being done on both storeys, and Darren says it's all taking a bit longer than expected.
The building has had a new roof put on and the upper storey is being converted into living accommodation.
Darren said he didn’t want to give an exact date for opening but said it should happen ‘within a couple of weeks’.
He said the shop will be similar to the Teignmouth branch, ‘but it’s a different layout and we’re always looking for new products’.
