Devon takes pride in its many miles of magnificent golden beaches. We also enjoy the special gifts of the marine environment that surrounds us.

In 2016, an 18 metre-long dead whale washed up at a beach in Dawlish. It had had been spotted flouting around the sea for some time before landing at the tourist destination.
