The Maritime and Coastguard Agency has confirmed that Teignmouth's coastguard station will close and move to Dawlish - meaning the end of a 200-year history for the Coastguard Rescue Team in the town.

A spokesman for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency said: "The Teignmouth Coastguard Rescue Team will be moving to a new station, at Dawlish in January 2021.
